Stan Lee introduces Hispanic and female superheroes at New York Comic-Con 2007
Often credited with having created the first modern superhero characters with human flaws, legendary comic-book creator Stan Lee (Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor, etc.) introduced his first Hispanic superhero, The Condor at New York Comic-Con 2007 to enthusiastic fans. The prolific comic-book creator, along with writer Scott Lobdell and actor Kirby Morrow, also introduced Mosaic--starring Lee's first female superhero--and reminisced about one of his favorite, if least well-known characters, Dr. Strange. Ever the savvy promoter, as Spider-Man 3 hits movie theaters the first weekend in May, Lee is releasing a collection of his best Spider-Man strips in a book called Amazing Spider-Man Newspaper Strips, Vol. 1 (Marvel Comics; May, 2007).
